INTERNATIONAL HISTORICAL ULTRA-DISTANCE RACE

The International Club "Euchidios Athlos – Euchidas" is delighted and honored to announce the 26th Classic Euchidios Athlos, to be held May 15-17, 2026.
The Euchidios Athlos will take place under the auspices of the Region of Central Greece, the Greek National Tourism Organization, the General Secretariat of Sports, with the support and cooperation of the municipalities along the route: Thebes, Livadeia, Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra, Delphi, as well as the participation and support of local clubs and institutions.

CLASSIC EUCHIDIOS ATHLOS

Route: Plataeae – Delphi
Distance: 107.5 km
Start: Friday, May 15, 2026, at 24:00 (midnight from Friday 15/5 to Saturday 16/5) from Plataeae
Finish: Saturday, May 16, 2026, Delphi
Time Limit: 16 hours

Checkpoints & Aid Stations:

• 19 manned checkpoints with full support

• 6 unmanned water points

Awards:
All participants who finish within the time limit will receive:

• Medal

• Diploma

• The unique Euchidas torch

Additionally, the first six men and first three women will be awarded special prizes.
The award ceremony will take place the morning of Sunday, May 17, 2026, following the traditional Flame Lighting Ceremony and Torch Relay.

Electronic timing will be used. Medical coverage will be provided, with ambulance and doctors present throughout the event.
Registration opening will be announced soon (expected late October / early November), once our website updates are complete.

34th LIGHTING OF THE DELPHIC FLAME – EUCHIDIOS TORCH RELAY

Sunday, May 17, 2026 – Delphi

On Sunday, May 17, 2026, at approximately 09:30, in the framework of the Euchidios Athlos, the traditional Lighting of the Delphic Flame will take place (a tradition since 1993), followed by the Euchidios Torch Relay.

The torch relay is symbolic and takes place in the city of Delphi. All athletes, both from the Euchidios Ultra and from the 9 Muses Road Race, are invited to participate in this cultural event — as well as anyone who wishes.

Take part in this special torch relay, carrying the flame and the torch of Euchidas through the sacred city of Delphi!

Immediately afterward, the award ceremony for the athletes of the Euchidios Ultra Race and the Euchidios Athlos will follow.
