Race Route Description

Participants will run a circular route of 6.706 km (4.167 miles) each hour. A new start will take place at the beginning of each hour for the remaining runners.

The race begins at the central square of Makrakomi, heading west. After 70 meters of asphalt, the route continues north on a 50-meter uphill cobblestone path. Then, it proceeds west on asphalt for 60 meters, followed by 160 meters of cobblestone heading east, before returning to asphalt. The course continues north for 100 meters, then heads east for 220 meters before transitioning onto a dirt road for 140 meters. A short 60-meter trail completes this initial uphill segment, gaining about 40 meters in elevation.

Next, runners cross a concrete road heading northeast and descend into an old ditch for 350 meters, emerging onto a rural road, which they follow for another 450 meters. The route then climbs for 100 meters with a left turn, crosses a field for 100 meters, and reaches a trail, gaining an additional 30 meters of elevation.

Maintaining a northeastern direction, runners descend for 350 meters, then turn left onto a 100-meter uphill trail that adds another 20 meters of elevation. This leads to a 3 km uneven forest road heading west. At this point, runners can admire the newly built chapel of Saint Paisios. Finally, the course turns east on asphalt for the last 1.3 km, ending at the finish line.
