Short biography:
Attorney in Florida, leading a Templar Ministry and being surrounded by animals (horses, dogs, cats) living on a ranch. Veteran Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Have completed the Spartathlon 11 times, this September will be my 12th time running the race. When I ran the race for the first time in 2013 I carried the engagement ring with me and proposed to then my girlfriend, Claire, the day after the race in front of the statue (while with my crew/family). My wife and I consider that moment the real date of the marriage because that's when we made the commitment to a life together. She has been part of my crew every year since and over the past 4 years we added to our crew, our dog Athos.
Why did you choose to participate in the Spartathlon?:
The first time I heard about the Spartathlon something different happened. It felt like a must do. Off course the history, the traditions, etc were very attractive, however something just felt different. At the end of the first finish I joked in my race report that the Gods spoke to me. I did not hear anything, I did not see anything, however everything about life and universe made sense. Little did I know at that time... Returning every year only increased my feeling of something divine happening. It lead me to a return to Christianity after witnessing several miracles, one at the Spartathlon. Not being able to deny the influence the race had on me, it lead to me starting my own church, a Templar Ministry.
Another very powerful motivation is the honor of finishing at the feet of King Leonidas who almost 500 years before Christ, showed what Christianity is all about: the willingness to sacrifice one life to save those under him (family, community, country)

Short biography:
Soy una corredora mexicana de ultra distancia desde hace 8 años, soy madre de familia y mi profesión es Ingeniero Industrial, he sido seleccionada mexicana en tres mundiales de 24 hrs non stop Rumanía 2021, Taipei 2023 y ahora Albi Francia 2025, participe en un evento intercontinental de la misma distancia 24 hrs Brasil 2022 y clasifique para Argentina 2024, mi mayor distancia en esas carreras ha sido de 190 km, me encanta la distancia larga, vivo aprendiendo cada día de ello, desafiando mi cuerpo y llevándolo al límite, ya forma parte de mi vida, soy trabajadora de una empresa de dulces en el estado de Guanajuato. He participado en eventos de ultra distancia en Montaña de 50, 60, 70, 90 y 100 km y algunos Backyard logrando 20 vueltas como máxima distancia.
Why did you choose to participate in the Spartathlon?:
La competencia de Sparthatlon para mí es un reto muy importante en mi vida, pues he seguido el evento algunos años y será la máxima distancia que recorreré en mi trayectoria, envié solicitud para el sorteo en 2024, no salí en la lotería y este año 2025 salí sorteada, somos 5 mexicanos elegidos está ocasión y participaré junto con ellos 4 grandes corredores de ultra distancia me siento afortunada de poder estar en esta lista de participantes y dare todo para lograr terminarla. Estoy entrenando duro y preparándome en todos los aspectos para llegar en las mejores condiciones al evento.
