SPARTATHLON 2026 | Athlete Technical Briefing and Route Changes

The countdown to the 44th SPARTATHLON has begun.

Today, Friday, September 25, 2026 at 17:15, the official Athlete Technical Briefing will take place at the OASIS Hotel in Glyfada and will be broadcast live through the official SPARTATHLON YouTube channel.

Particular attention will be given to the changes to this year’s race route, with athletes and support crews receiving detailed information during the technical briefing.

Important updates will also be provided regarding the race regulations, checkpoints, GPS Tracking, drop bags, and instructions for athletes and support crews.

The 44th SPARTATHLON will start on Saturday, September 26 at 07:00, beneath the Acropolis in Athens, with athletes having 36 hours to reach the statue of King Leonidas in Sparta.
